How to Walk on the Wild Side!

Dear Reader:

How long has it been since you last went on a walk? We aren’t talking about a brisk trot to catch the bus. Or strolling through your favorite mall. Not even a hurried attempt to hit the time clock before your shift.

Those activities are hurried and often fraught with stress.

Nope, we are talking about a walk! Yes, you can actually call it a hike if you prefer. You know what we mean. Gathering up a bottle of water and walking into the great outdoors intentionally!

Do you enjoy the warmth of the sun on your face and relish in a slight breeze cooling your body as it hits the light sweat on your brow? Nothing quite beats the sense of well-being that manifests when enjoying nature up front and personal.

Sometimes folks confuse outdoor activity with expensive accessories. That’s about as far from the truth as you can get. And so far, no one has yet to figure out how to tax a simple walk. (…but hold onto your wallet, some politician may come up with a plan to do just that!)

If you are someone who needs to shed a few pounds, walking is the best and least expensive way to achieve your fitness goals. Yes, there are tons of weight loss programs and a plethora of expensive weight loss products that promise unrealistic results.

And, can you think of a better thing to do than including friends or making it a family hobby?  Sadly, we just don’t get much interaction these days and this is an excellent way to gather your loved ones together!

So what should I do to get started?

Glad you asked. As we mentioned above you could just grab a bottle of water and head out.  That would work for a walk around the block.  But if you are feeling a bit more ambitious our easy to follow guide will help you with getting started . . .
